1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using DILO ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

DILO provides translation services using artificial intelligence technology. The Service translates text between languages based on user-provided context, tone, and relationship settings.

Third-Party AI Services: DILO uses third-party AI services to power translations, including OpenAI and Google Gemini. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your translation requests are processed by these third-party AI providers subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We may change AI providers at any time without notice.

3. Credits and Payment

DILO operates on a credit-based system. Credits can be purchased through the Service and are used to access translation features.

Credit Expiration: All purchased credits expire one (1) year from the date of purchase. Free credits provided as promotional offers may have different expiration terms as specified at the time of issuance. Expired credits cannot be used and will not be refunded.

Free Queries: New users may receive a limited number of free translation queries (currently 20). After exhausting free queries, users may receive a limited number of daily free credits (currently 1 per day) for a limited period (currently 7 days). Free queries and daily credits are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

Subscription Credits: Subscription credits roll over from month to month. However, there is a maximum cap on accumulated credits that varies by subscription tier: Starter subscription credits are capped at 10,000 credits; Plus subscription credits are capped at 10,000 credits; Pro subscription credits are capped at 20,000 credits. Once a user reaches their tier's maximum cap, additional monthly credits will not accumulate until credits are used.

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions: DILO offers three monthly auto-renewable subscription plans: (1) Starter subscription - $2.99 per month, providing 1,000 credits per month (price per credit: $0.00299), a 1-month recurring subscription that automatically renews each month; (2) Plus subscription - $5.99 per month, providing 2,500 credits per month (price per credit: $0.00240), a 1-month recurring subscription that automatically renews each month; (3) Pro subscription - $9.99 per month, providing 6,000 credits per month (price per credit: $0.00167), a 1-month recurring subscription that automatically renews each month. All subscriptions automatically renew indefinitely until cancelled by the user. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your account settings or through the App Store or Google Play Store subscription management.

Refunds: We're sorry, but all credit purchases are final and non-refundable under any circumstances. We understand this may be disappointing, but this policy helps us maintain the infrastructure and AI services that power DILO. The costs of running these services are incurred immediately upon purchase, which is why we cannot offer refunds. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to start with a smaller credit pack if you're trying the service for the first time.

Translation Explanations: The translation explanation feature and follow-up questions are provided free of charge as a learning tool to help you understand translations better.

Image Translation: Subscribers can translate text from images (such as signs, menus, or documents) up to 50 times per month. This limit resets at the start of each billing period. Images are processed to extract text only and are not stored. DILO reserves the right to modify this limit at any time.

Fair Use Policy: Subscribers receive unlimited translations and chats subject to a fair use limit of approximately 1.2 million tokens per month (equivalent to thousands of typical translations and chats). This limit resets at the start of each billing period. If you exceed this limit, translations will be paused until your next billing period begins. This policy exists to ensure service quality for all users and prevent automated abuse. DILO reserves the right to modify fair use limits at any time.

4. Free Single-Word Lookups

Paying customers (users who have purchased credits or have an active subscription) are entitled to free single-word translation lookups.

Cached Translations: When a single-word translation has been previously requested and cached in our system, subsequent lookups for the same word (with the same language and settings) are provided free of charge. This is because cached translations do not require additional AI processing costs.

This benefit is provided as a courtesy to paying customers and may be modified or discontinued at any time at our discretion. DILO reserves the right to define what constitutes a "single word" and to limit or modify this benefit to prevent abuse.

5. Referral Program

DILO offers a referral program where existing users can invite new users to the Service.

How It Works: When a new user signs up using a referral code, the new user receives 500 bonus credits immediately. The referring user receives 500 bonus credits when the referred user makes their first purchase.

Monthly Limit: Referring users may earn credits from a maximum of 10 successful referrals per calendar month. Referrals beyond this limit will not earn additional credits for the referrer, though the referred user will still receive their signup bonus.

Abuse Prevention: Self-referrals, creating fake accounts, or any form of referral fraud is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all credits. We reserve the right to withhold or revoke referral credits if we detect suspicious activity.

Program Changes: DILO reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program at any time without prior notice. Credit amounts, limits, and eligibility requirements may change at our discretion.

6. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TRANSLATION ACCURACY DISCLAIMER: DILO does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any translations provided by the Service. Translations are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, inaccuracies, mistranslations, or may be inappropriate for your intended use. AI-powered translations can produce incorrect, misleading, or culturally inappropriate results. You acknowledge that automated translation services are inherently imperfect and should never be relied upon as the sole source of truth for any communication.

NO LIABILITY FOR TRANSLATION ERRORS: DILO, its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, misunderstandings, miscommunications, or consequences of any kind arising from translation errors or inaccuracies, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential. This includes but is not limited to professional, legal, medical, financial, or personal situations where incorrect translations may cause harm.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DILO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

7. User Responsibility

VERIFICATION REQUIRED: You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and validating any translations provided by the Service before using them. You must independently verify all translations with a qualified human translator or native speaker before relying on them for any important purpose.

You acknowledge that you should not rely solely on automated translations for critical communications, legal documents, medical information, business transactions, or any situation where accuracy is essential. Translations provided by this Service are intended for general informational and educational purposes only.

DILO is not responsible for any consequences arising from the use or misuse of translations provided by the Service, including but not limited to misunderstandings, miscommunications, damaged relationships, lost opportunities, or any damages resulting from inaccurate translations.

8. Service Availability

DILO does not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that it will be free from errors, defects, or interruptions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service.
